Cult/Star player for Mora IK

En av Mora IK:s stora forwards under 1950-talet tillsammans med Folke Gustafsson. Var mycket målfarlig och syntes ofta högt upp i målskytteligorna.

Fick chansen i Tre Kronor under fyra matcher. Debuterade i landslaget 1953 mot Finland i Helsingfors. En match som Sverige vann med klara 5-0. I det dalabetonade landslaget svarade bland annat Björn "Lollo" Lassas från Leksand för två av målen.
Blomberg, som spelade i en kedja med Einar "Kiosken" Granath och Åke "Mas-Åke" Larsson, gick mållös av rinken.

Även en mycket god fotbollsspelare hos Färnäs SK under flera år.
